At The Sensory Smart Child Ltd we offer an intensive treatment model for children throughout the year.
Recent research definitively shows that frequent repetition is needed to make brain and behavioural changes and therefore we offer treatment sessions 3 to 6 times a week for 1-6 weeks.
Intensive treatment sessions are carried out in short term blocks. These usually run in school holidays but we do offer intensive courses all year round. We recommend children attend between 10-30 treatment sessions in one block. In most instances, children do better in short-term intensive therapy, rather than once a week.
The intensive treatment model really works to give your child the boost they need to start Therapy, with parent training, goal setting and video review sessions you really can see the progression occurring on a daily basis.
The opening of our new family accommodation has made it possible for more of our distance clients to access our intensive model on a more frequent basis and we have a number of families who visit from across the UK to attend intensive treatment courses 2-3 times a year.
